Finalist for the Prix Étrange Aventure 2026

À Coups de Canon, the French edition of A Colpi di Cannonau, is a finalist for the Prix Étrange Aventure 2026.

The prize is awarded by the Festival Étrange Grande, the French festival dedicated to genre literature: science fiction, fantasy, horror, crime, romance. Étrange Aventure is its adventure-fiction category, and this year the shortlist runs to five titles.

The other finalists are Le féal sans visage (Garance de Jorna), Jules Verne et le secret de la tour Eiffel (Céline Ghys), Le golem de pierre (Claire Krust), and Le sang & la mer: chroniques de l'Argo, livre 1 (Adrien Tomas). Good company.

The festival takes place on 19 and 20 September 2026 in Hettange-Grande, in Lorraine. That is where the winners are announced.

A Colpi di Cannonau is Book I of Piratesse del Mediterraneo, my completed historical-fantasy trilogy; the French translation is published by Hikaya. It is the first recognition the book has had in French, which counts for more than an Italian one would: it means the story travels.
