Privacy Policy

This page explains what personal data titaniablesh.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. I'm not a big operation: it's just me, running a personal author website, so I try to collect as little data as possible and to be upfront about the rest.
Who is responsible for your data
Titania Banfi (writing as Titania Blesh) is the data controller for this website. You can reach me at titania.banfi@gmail.com for anything related to this policy or your data.
What this site does not do
- No analytics or tracking scripts (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no ad trackers).
- No advertising and no selling of any data to anyone.
- No tracking cookies. The only things stored in your browser are small technical flags (see below), not used to identify or track you across sites.
Newsletter signup
If you sign up for the newsletter, the only piece of information collected is your email address, and it's collected directly by Substack, not by this website: the signup form submits to Substack's own page. Substack then manages the subscription, sending, and unsubscribing. Their handling of your data is governed by Substack's own privacy policy. You can unsubscribe at any time from any newsletter email.
Ordering the Deluxe Edition
The order form for the limited deluxe edition of the trilogy collects: full name, email address, shipping address (street, city, province, postal code), and your chosen delivery method. This information is:
- sent to a private Notion workspace (via a Google Apps Script that relays the form submission) that I use to track and fulfill orders;
- used only to process, ship, and follow up on your order;
- never sold, rented, or used for marketing without your separate, explicit consent (for example, if you're also signed up for the newsletter).
Once your package has arrived, your shipping data (name, address, delivery method) is deleted. And once all 50 copies of the deluxe edition have sold out, the Apps Script relay and the Notion workspace used for this order form will both be decommissioned and any remaining data deleted.
Cookies and local storage
This site doesn't use cookies for tracking. It does use your browser's local storage for two small, non-identifying purposes:
- remembering that you've already seen and dismissed the newsletter popup, so it doesn't show again on your next visit;
- remembering which language version of the site you've chosen.
Neither of these sends any information back to me or to any third party: they simply live in your own browser and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
Where your data is stored
This website itself is static and hosted on GitHub Pages. Order data lives in Notion, relayed through a Google Apps Script, and newsletter data lives with Substack. None of it sits on a server I run myself.
How long data is kept
Shipping data collected for the deluxe edition is deleted once your package has arrived. In any case, the Google Apps Script relay and the Notion workspace used to manage these orders will be decommissioned and all remaining data deleted once all 50 copies have sold out. Newsletter data is retained according to Substack's own policy, since I don't control their systems directly.
Your rights
If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data I hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these, just email me at titania.banfi@gmail.com and I'll sort it out directly (for data held by Substack, you may also need to contact them, since they control their own systems). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If anything material changes (a new form, a new third-party service), I'll update this page and change the date at the top.
